Resize signature for exam form — sharp, no blur
Signatures scanned from paper lose sharpness when resized to small exam dimensions. The best result comes from drawing your signature directly on a canvas — that way the output is rendered at exactly the right size.
Step-by-step fix
Use the signature draw widget
Sign with your finger (mobile) or mouse (desktop). The canvas is already at the right aspect ratio for most exams.
Select your exam preset
The widget resizes to the exact signature dimensions for your exam (e.g. 140×60px for SSC, 256×64px for Maharashtra Police).
Download as JPEG or PNG
JPEG for white background (smaller file), PNG for transparent background. Most forms need JPEG.
Common causes and fixes
Scanned signature is too large
Use the draw widget instead of scanning — it outputs at the exact target size without any upscale/downscale artifact.
PNG file too large
Download as JPEG. A 140×60px JPEG is typically 3–8KB, well within exam limits.
Signature looks too thin or light
Use the "thick" pen setting. Sign slowly and fully — the auto-crop will trim to the signature bounds.
Frequently asked questions
What is the signature size for SSC CGL?
SSC CGL signature requirement is 140×60px, 10–20KB, JPG/JPEG format. The draw widget auto-applies this when you select SSC CGL.
Can I upload a scanned signature?
Yes, but drawn signatures look sharper at exam dimensions. If scanning, scan at 300+ DPI on white paper with dark ink.
