Mask Aadhaar Card
UIDAI recommends hiding the first 8 digits of your Aadhaar when sharing a copy. Upload your Aadhaar image, drag a box over the digits, and download a masked version — everything stays in your browser, nothing is uploaded.
Your documents never leave your device
All processing happens inside your browser using the Canvas API — there is no server upload, no cloud storage, and no data retention. We have zero access to your files. Nothing is stored for any duration, because nothing ever travels to our servers in the first place.

Frequently asked questions
Is it legal to mask my Aadhaar number?
Yes. UIDAI itself recommends masking the first 8 digits of your Aadhaar when sharing a copy, so that only the last 4 digits are visible. This tool only helps you cover the digits you choose on your own document.
Is my Aadhaar image uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser. The image is never uploaded to a server, never stored, and never sent anywhere.
How do I mask my Aadhaar card?
Upload your Aadhaar image, then drag a box over the first 8 digits to cover them with a solid black bar. Add more boxes if needed, then download the masked JPG.
Can the masked digits be recovered from the downloaded image?
No. The tool draws a solid bar directly onto the image pixels and exports a flattened JPG, so the covered digits are not present in the saved file.
