How much can the file size be reduced?
It depends on the PDF. Documents with high-resolution scanned images or photos compress the most. PDFs that are already optimised may shrink only a little — in that case the tool keeps the original so you never get a larger file.
Will compressing reduce the quality of my PDF?
Recommended quality keeps documents clearly readable while cutting size. Use Light for near-original quality, or Maximum when you need the smallest possible file for an upload limit.
Is it free and is my file kept private?
